I was born Arielle Hensley in 1175 in a small village near Sherwood forest. My parents Henry and Marian were very poor peasants and lived a very meager life. A third of the country was covered by forest, whereas a very young girl I spent a lot of time. It was very enchanting.
As I grew older I had to work in the fields. My father was free peasant because if you were not free than you were a slave to local Gentry's or lords. Almost all domestic goods were created within the community. My father would make payment for taxes in a kind of barter as money was very rare. Life was very short in my village we had wars, diseases, lack of hygiene, and very limited medical knowledge. My father and mother as a result of working so hard in the fields had crippling arthritis. My parents died in their early 40's.
Our diet consisted of thick soup made of grain & vegetable which we washed down with weak ale. We only occasionally had meat, even though mutton and pork considered fit only for the very poor. During the spring and autumn the River Trent supplied eels, Trout, pike, and salmon. When the winters were bad we lived on Roots, Herbs, and wild Grasses. When winter was really bad we were forced to make our bread and dough cakes out of Bark and acorns. Although life was very hard we did have good times by singing and telling stories, plus our belief in God.
I really do not recall how I came to be here (but as a child I was very good with a Bow and Arrow) Or why I was meant to be an evil Archer.
I sometimes miss my past life even though it was very rough.
